Jonathan Roberts is a pianist and trumpet player originally from the Pacific NW. He studied trumpet performance and composition at Berklee College of Music, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Piano Performance from Portland State University. Roberts has lived and worked as a full time musician in Boston, NYC and Philadelphia, playing in a wide variety of soul, jazz, afro beat and pop bands. In addition, he has worked as a cruise boat pianist, as a touring musician with various artists, (including Portland based Nick Jaina), and for the past three years, as a ballet pianist with the Oregon Ballet Theater, NW Dance Project and The Portland Ballet. He is also active in the Portland music scene, where his current projects include Eastern Sunz and Arrows in Orbit, both of which feature him on analogue synths.

Jonathan teaches piano and trumpet technique, recording/production, as well as modern harmony, composition and improvisation on any instrument.
