Landon is based out of Portland Oregon. He started playing music at young age, as a child he played in a band with his family. Originally a fantastic cowbell player around the age of 5, he was drawn to band in elementary School and started playing the trombone at the age of 10 – with the influence of his brother and father he picked up the electric bass the next year. He hasn’t looked back ever since.
Landon started playing shows when he was 12 with his friends, then when he was 19 he went to college to major in the electric bass and music performance and proceeded to get his bachelor’s degree.
After graduation he moved to the midwest to cut his teeth playing in any bands varying from blues/funk to jazz and country. That lead him to move to New Orleans and then to Nashville.
He is on a various selection of recordings from alternative and country to jazz. He has opened for acts like The Marshall Tucker band, Blake Shelton, Darious Rutker and has played with members of MuteMath and The Ataris. Landon loves to share the wonders of music with people of all ages. With a good knowledge of classical theory, jazz theory, ear training, and vocal work, combined with technique Landon is able to help students using an integral teaching method. Landon teaches piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, voice, and bass.
