Born in Tokyo, Japan, Megumi Sasaki grew up in Frankfurt, Germany where she received her degree in Classical Violin and Instrumental Education from Hochschule fuer Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Frankfurt/Main. She came to the U.S. in 2003 to study Jazz Violin and earned a diploma in Violin Performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She has performed with various orchestras and ensembles throughout the New England area, as well as in Europe and Japan, and has appeared on numerous recordings. She plays a variety of music styles, such as classical, jazz, pop, folk and musical shows. Megumi is a passionate and patient violin teacher and has been teaching for over 15 years. She enjoys working with students of all ages and levels.
