Search For a Teacher:

About

The Musicality Network is a network of private music teachers located in the Portland, Oregon metro area. Our teachers teach a wide variety of musical instruments, and can come to your house for lessons! All teachers in the Musicality Network have been background checked (a copy of which will be sent to you before you meet your teacher), as well as screened for musical proficiency, friendliness, character, and personability. Our teachers are the type of people you would feel comfortable inviting into your home.

A motto here at the Musicality Network is: “Great people make great teachers” We believe that it is important for a music teacher to have a complete integrity and character in their person, not simply musical ability and knowledge. They must be the kind of person you would feel comfortable having in your home. And we are committed to keeping the standards at the Musicality Network high, so that you find a teacher you can trust.

I founded the Musicality Network of Portland in July 2009, out of a desire to help students and parents of students find the type of music teachers they are looking for – great people. The relationship between a music student and their teacher is an intimate one, one in which a beautiful gift – music – is being passed from one person to another – this can be a delight for the student or a drudgery, and much of that hinges on what kind of person their teacher is. We are committed to high standards for the integrity, friendliness, and professionalism of our teachers. I personally can highly recommend each of our local teachers because I have personally met them and they have passed the stringent requirements to be a member of the Musicality Network. Thank you for choosing us to be the source for your next music teacher. We appreciate your business very much.

Sincerely,

Zachary Seymour
Network Director
