About The Musicality Network
Since 2009, The Musicality Network has been helping families in the Portland area connect with music teachers who truly get kids. We know that between ages 8 and 16, students are looking for more than just scales and practice charts—they want encouragement, connection, and a teacher who makes learning music exciting.
Valerie Seymour, founder of The Musicality Network, and her wife Ellery are longtime residents of Vancouver, WA. Together they share a love for music—playing piano and guitar—along with reading, cooking, board games, and, most of all, spending time with their six children. Their greatest joy is helping others grow, learn, and succeed in whatever adventures they pursue.
From the Founder
“I started The Musicality Network in Portland back in 2009 with one simple goal: to connect families with music teachers who are not only skilled musicians, but truly great people. We know that the bond between a student and their teacher can shape whether music becomes a lifelong joy or just another chore. That’s why we carefully select teachers who combine musical talent with integrity, friendliness, and professionalism. Every teacher in our network has been vetted so parents can feel confident inviting them into their home or trusting them with their child’s musical growth. We’re here to make finding the right teacher simple, personal, and inspiring — so your child can discover the joy of music with someone who really clicks with them.”
Sincerely,
Valerie Seymour
