Hi! I’m Devon – I picked up my first guitar when I was 12. It wasn’t until I was 14 that I got my own electric guitar and decided I truly wanted to learn to play. At that time I had a huge influence from Jimi hendrix for a couple years. Because of that I have always had a huge influence on fender guitars. I thought the fender stratocaster was the guitar for me, until I turned 15 and realized my true idol was Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) and from that I was introduced into offset guitars, specifically the Fender Mustang. The DIY attitude from that music scene was a huge influence on me growing up as a teenager, and from that I taught myself the mechanics of the guitar. Besides understanding how to play the guitar, I have a decent amount of knowledge on the guitar’s functionalities. I love guitar pedals also and know a lot about them and amps, in fact I’ve learned how to modify a few stompboxes. I’ve now been playing for around 10 years and have been in multiple bands.

A few of my favorite genres include: indie, jangle-pop, grunge, dream pop, shoegaze, punk, chillwave, surf lo-fi just to name a few!
