While in New Zealand Sara participated in a benefit concert as well as performing in regular recitals. While in middle school and high school, Sara participated in OMTA and Junior Festivals, as a solo performer and a duet performer, and performed in the “In Good Hands” Concert, debuting an original work by local Oregon composer, Lisa Marsh. While obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in piano performance from Portland State University, and concurrently obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, Sara participated in solo classical piano performances and performed in jazz combos in addition to accompanying vocalists. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Pacific University in June of 2018.
With a desire to share her knowledge, Sara is pursuing a career teaching high school physics and continues to tutor high school students in math and science. When not teaching, practicing piano,
or performing, Sara enjoys reading, drawing, and hiking. She dabbles some in composition and is always keeping her ears pealed for performance opportunities, as a soloist and an accompanist. She enjoys all genres of music from Baroque and Classical to Jazz and Contemporary.
Sara is currently not accepting new students.
